I have come to the conclusion that I hate the phone! I have not liked the phone for many years now, but as time goes on, I really don't like it! It only brings bad news, and even with cordless, it's still an appendage attached to your ear. It all began when I worked as a receptionist many years ago and got blamed for swearing at customers on the phone. At that time I didn't even say the word crap! Now I know who was really doing that, but it didn't matter. I was blamed and fired for it. So, I believe since then I have hated the phone. It only causes problems.
Therefore, my solution has been to just turn the home phone off and monitor my cell. I only answer if I recognize the ringtone. It has worked so far, but I get some nasty messages! I had one guy leave a message saying I wasn't an adult because I wouldn't answer my phone and that I needed to grow up. I just laughed.
I can imagine what it was like back when the operator listened in on conversations. I'm sure she heard some doozies! And all those cords to worry about! I know I'm not the first to get the cord tangled on my phone. I used to stand on a chair and get dizzy watching the cord unwind! That was the highlight of my day!! Ok, maybe not, but that was also back when I didn't mind the phone. Now it's just a pain in the ear! I would hope it's not a pain in the butt.... Ok movin' on.
So make sure I have your phone number in my cell with an attached awesome ringtone or I might not answer! Just fyi.....

I hate the phone, too. There are very few people I like to just "chat" with. You tell Randy to quit telling you to grow up when you don't feel like talking to him! HA! I hate texting even more! But it does help speak the language of your teenagers. :-)
Thanks for visiting my new blog! It should be a growing experience for me!
I'd give ya my number but I don't think all the numbers would fit on your screen since I use a calling card. ;) When I get home I'll be sure to give ya my number so you'll talk to me. lol We need to make a temple date when we get home too. I have missed going to the temple so much!!
I forgot to tell you that I didn't know you had such a hang up over the phone!
Yes, and that's what I usually do! Hang up :)! hehehehe
