California Here We Come....

I needed this! Unfortunately our car broke down, so we are using a rental while the car is in the condo's garage waiting to decide where I need to try and take it or have it towed. Not fun!

But Disneyland is worth it! I love it there!

The Haunted Mansion is really awesome right now!!! It's all about Jack Skelington and Nightmare Before Christmas!! Very cool!!!

We made it right at the end of the Halloween spectacle, so there are still some things up regarding Halloween, like this Mickey (my hero!)

Back to Disneyland we go again! So, there's more to come.......

Oh Those Summer Days....

Where has Summer gone? To the archives of my memories. There to stay until once again the melting snow nourishes the earth beneath and the flowers and grass begin to grow.

Trouble Begins with T and Rhymes with P....

Have you ever wondered why things happen the way they do? How you try to do something good and it turns bad? Even though the original problem wasn't even your fault but the perpetrator turns the tables and makes you the bad guy? I have come to the conclusion that I am "the bad guy" and nothing is going to change that.

So, I guess this means a wardrobe change! Can you say shopping trip?!!! I'll have to start wearing black and a mask and when I'm not totally in bad guy mode, I can wear a disguise! This means Halloween every day for me! WOOHOO!

I think this look totally works for me! Tan, always on the road, or sea depending on how you look at it, comfortable clothing. Ya...I like it!

And maybe I'll follow the next rainbow and see if there's a pot of gold at the end! That should do the trick!

Anyone know the time?

Does anybody really know what time it is? Does anybody really care? Hmmm...reminds me of a song! So Samuel is home safe and sound. Life has resumed and time has once again escaped me! Tifani has started Jr. High! Jake is preparing for his mission! I'm still a newlywed, right? Life has a funny way of going on without me.....

OMGosh!

Ok, we're within the 30 day mark! 27 days until Samuel comes home!!! WOW!!! Where has the time gone! The scary part is, his room isn't even part way finished yet! Poor kid. He'll have to sleep on a cot in the garage I guess.

So, the big thing to do in his particular mission is tie collecting! He has a whole bag full he says, about 80 to be exact! CRAZY! So I thought about making a quilt out of them when he gets home, if he'll let me.

Needless to say we are excited and looking forward to him coming home. I don't know who's more trunky, Sam or us!

Then and Now

FIRST DAY AS A SENIOR!!! I RULE THE SCHOOL!!!

I GRADUATED!!! (by the skin of my teeth) I'M READY TO TAKE ON THE WORLD!

YES!!! Graduation is complete and Jake is happy! So are we!!! We are very proud of you Jake!

Memorial Day...

We had a wonderful Memorial Day this year. We took some flowers up to my Dad's grave and noticed that the Vietnam Veteran's Moving Wall was at the cemetary also. So we went and took a look.

Very nice. Many people were looking for family names. Some were just contemplating, remembering.

And then there was the crowd of about 8 to 10 people that thought they were at a church social or something. They were laughing, talking loud, and not being respectful of their surroundings. It was maddening! But for the most part, the trip was worth it.

We also went to Layton park and fed the ducks, geese, swans, rats... ya.... well none of them were hungry, but we had a nice time at the park anyways. So I guess it's official.....LET SUMMER BEGIN!!
